Representatives from the SENET project had the chance to participate in a Matchmaking Tour organised by ENRICH in China, focused on the Healthcare sector, between April 8-13, going through Beijing and Wuxi.
The Tour started at the Nordic Edge China Summit 2019 in Beijing where a workshop on China International Smart Healthcare Solutions was organised, with speakers from European Chamber of Commerce in China, IPR-Help Desk and other leading Chinese healthcare organisations. The business visits to Daxing Biomedicine Park and Capital Medical University took place the day after with involvement of ENRICH Soft Landing Zone – Rongtong Group in Beijing.
On Friday, April 12th, the participants visited Wuxi Biologics, Wuxi Boya Stem Cells Technology and Fresenius Kabi Huanui, three leading Chinese health companies located in Wuxi Mashan National Life Science Park. The delegation also joined the Taihu Mashan Life Science and Healthcare Forum with more than 2,000 participants. A Sino-European Healthcare Cooperation Workshop was organized and had very fruitful discussions among the European and Chinese stakeholders. Mr. Günther Marten, Minister Counsellor and IP expert, EU Delegation to China, attended the event and provided a presentation in one of the parallel sessions.
Hicham Abghay, SENET coordinator from Steinbeis 2i GmbH (S2i) gave an interview to the regional TV station, where he discussed about the collaboration opportunities between the EU and China in the area of health, personalised medicine, e-health and data protection, as well as the benefits of attending communication events such as the Taihu (Mashan) Life Science and Healthcare Forum, in order to directly get in contact with professional individuals and organisations in China.
